Our Tea
Sencha
Sencha is the green tea most commonly enjoyed in everyday Japanese life. Its flavor profile varies widely depending on the producer, but is generally known for balancing freshness, sweetness, and a gentle astringency. Sencha also spans a broad range of quality levels, from casual daily tea to competition-grade selections. We carefully choose only first harvest sencha of the highest quality.

Gyokuro
Gyokuro is regarded as one of the highest esteemed green teas in both Japan and internationally. Its remarkable complexity and unmistakable character set it apart from any other tea. Producing exceptional gyokuro requires not only a specific terroir and cultivation method, but also the refined experience of a skilled tea master. For this reason, many tea farms across Japan continuously refine their gyokuro in pursuit of excellence and recognition within the tea world. Our two gyokuro selections both come from highly respected tea farms. The Standard Premium offers a rich umami profile with a long-lasting aftertaste, while the Award-Winning Gyokuro delivers greater complexity, enhanced sweetness, and a smoother lingering finish. Both are truly worth experiencing.

A roasted Japanese tea crafted at a higher temperature than usual, creating its signature roasted aroma and a flavor profile distinct from typical Japanese green tea. Our hojicha has low bitterness, minimal astringency, and almost no umami, offering gentle caramel-like notes with a remarkably smooth finish. Achieving this balance requires considerable skill and experience from the tea producer, as precise roasting temperature and technique are essential to avoid burnt notes while maintaining consistency throughout the year. Hojicha is also naturally lower in caffeine than most green teas, making it suitable to enjoy throughout the day, from children to the elderly.

Genmaicha
A Japanese green tea blended with roasted rice, creating a warm and comforting aroma when brewed. Our genmaicha also contains a small amount of matcha to enhance the color, aroma, and flavor balance between the tea and roasted rice. Beyond its distinctive fragrance, genmaicha is often appreciated for its gentle character, making it suitable for those with sensitive digestion or lighter dietary routines such as fasting. It is also commonly served in Japanese restaurants, where its balanced flavor pairs naturally with food while remaining more approachable in price than many other Japanese green teas.

Hojicha Powder
Hojicha powder is finely ground like matcha, but made from tea leaves roasted at a higher temperature. This creates its warm brown color, lower caffeine content, and signature roasted aroma. Compared to typical green tea, hojicha has low bitterness, almost no umami, and a naturally soft sweetness with caramel-like notes.
